How does Life Directions engage with jobseekers?

Job Seeker

The jobseeker* drops-in to
Life Directions (LD) or makes
a scheduled appointment.

*LD works with jobseekers 15 years and older living with a self-disclosed or diagnosed disability.

Action Plan

LD works with the jobseeker to
develop a Return to Work Action Plan.

Pre-Employment Career Development

LD provides the jobseeker with one-on-one pre-employment
career development. This includes:
• needs and resource
• goal setting
• resume development

LD works together with the jobseeker to make introductions to potential employers and set-up interviews.

The jobseeker secures employment or a job placement. This may be a
stepping-stone to the jobseeker’s longer term career goals.

training plan for the new hire.

Follow Up
